I built TacFit because it's something I wanted. After I left the military I missed the camaraderie, especially when it came to daily fitness. We worked out every single day but I admit, I did not wake every morning with the same fiery motivation. No matter how I felt though, I somehow dragged myself to physical training and started my day off right.
That “somehow” was really about one thing, not wanting to let other people down and knowing that we were in it together. There’s a whole lot you can do if you know you’ve got people pushing with you. Beyond just getting to PT every morning, these bonds drove me way beyond what I thought I could do.
When I left the military, like so many others, I missed it. I became less consistent and less fit. Eventually, middle age brought new and heavy responsibilities like a wife and children and my resilience began to suffer. If this challenge feels familiar to you, you have found the right place.
I built this application because it’s something I wanted but couldn't find. An easy and flexible connect with friends and family near and far in a way that lifts both yourself and others up, even if just a little.
This is not meant to be a fitness or happiness silver bullet, we all know that doesn’t exist. By joining TacFit you will probably not transform into a spartan warrior. It's meant to offer a different way to motivate and sustain healthier choices. It’s meant to be fun and transformative for those who need the extra kick like I do.
